Theodore's brand was born on a cold winter evening in a small apartment in Tel Aviv.

Our dog Theodore used to lay on his bed, covered with a blanket we bought for him. Each time Theo was getting out of his bed and walking around the house, the blanket got dragged after him like superman's cloak and finally fell off in different places all around the house.

My wife Danielle and I decided to look for a new bed for Theo. 

As Danielle is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, she knew how important it is for a dog to have a high quality bed that supports his body and also to give him his own place where he can feel safe and relaxed. So, few things were important for us:

1. Highest comfort

2. Sustainable, premium quality materials

3. Fine, minimal design which can fit our home

4. Multi-seasonality (summertime in Israel is very hot!)

5. Solving the blanket problem

 

After a few hours searching, we couldn't find anything we liked.

Back then, I was also looking for a new career path and was thinking about starting an online business. Suddenly Danielle had an idea: "Why won't you create the best dog bed and sell it online?"

A year later, after a lot of hard work, Theodore's first product was ready –

The Round Bed. Since then, a few more products have been created, designed to make our best friend's life a little comfier.
